More important than ever! Please read it & comment.
A republic, if you can keep it.
This article got me thinking. It's true and amazing that many don't know our founding fathers created a republic not a democracy and that they warned of the evils in a democratic system of government. I think the real concern is that many don't care what those old white men 200 years ago wanted. It's like quoting the Bible to non-believers; they don't get it.
It seems to me from discussions with progressives & liberals that they believe the line between right & wrong may change with time so why commit to a set of laws or a constitution? They don't feel the constitution matters. They believe in Democracy.
